This week's Spireites Youth Team game in the Midlands Youth Cup has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch at Walsall.

The second-round game, which had been scheduled for the Bescott Stadium this Tuesday, has been re-arranged and will now be played at the same venue on Tuesday 2 January 2007, kick-off 7.00pm.

The Saddlers were last season's finalists in this competition, losing by the single goal to Grimsby Town.

Last week the Chesterfield youngsters were knocked out of the FA Youth Cup, going down 4 nil to a strong Birmingham City academy side.
