It's the second time the Spireites youngsters had made the long journey to Eastern England having beaten Lowestoft Town in the first round earlier this month.

After a bright start Chesterfield went ahead after ten minutes thanks to an own goal, a cross from Richard Bull was deflected into his own net by a defender.

Great Yarmouth equalised against the run of play shortly after from the penalty spot when Josh Law upended one of their players in the box.

That goal gave the home side a temporary lift and they went ahead on 20 minutes when a left hand side cross was side-footed into the bottom corner.  Chesterfield were now dominating the game and losing, but not for long.  James O'Brien got a deserved equaliser with a shot on the turn from the edge of the box.

The Spireites then scored a couple more before the break.  A cross fell nicely for Richard Bull to score with a left footed finish.  Thomas Cooper-Richards then scored the fourth goal when he latched onto Paul Room's cross for a right-footed volley at the near post.

The second-half was virtually one-way traffic from Chesterfield but only one more goal was scored.  It was a rare goal from central defender Thomas Bull which finally sealed a comprehensive victory.  He had a fine maizy run from his own half, beating several players on the way, before smashing the ball into the bottom left hand corner.
