The two new lads, midfielder Graeme Owens and striker Bruce Dyer have been in action for Chesterfield reserves in a behind-closed-doors practice game against Notts County at the Spireites training ground at Warminster Road, Sheffield.

Whilst the experienced striker Bruce Dyer didn't get on the scoresheet himself, three others did as the Spireites won the match 3-1, with goals from Adam Smith, Graeme Owens and Lloyd Kerry.

 

Notts County fielded a strong side, which included Chesterfield's former £250,000 record signing Jason Lee, former Spireites loanee striker Laurie Dudfield and former Spireites transfer target Neil MacKenzie, who scored from a penalty.

 

Chesterfield starting line-up: Jamie Annerson, Brazilian trialist, Janos Kovacs, Kevin Gray, Gregor Robertson, Kevin Cooper, Lloyd Kerry, Jamie Winter, Graeme Owens (sub Ben Algar 70), Adam Smith, Bruce Dyer.
