Chesterfield defender Gregor Robertson is on the road to recovery after successfully getting through a full 90 minutes in a private practice game behind closed doors against Doncaster Rovers at their Cantley Park training ground.

The former Rotherham and Forest defender has been out injured with a strain to his gluteus medius muscle (buttock) with initial fears that he could have been out for the rest of the season.

 

The training encounter, which was in three 30 minute sessions, ended Rovers 4 Spireites O, with two goals from Rovers striker James Haytor (one a penalty) and a brace from Hull City loanee Stuart Elliott.
