Yes, it was pleasing - it came out to the edge of the box and I took a chance and it went in. It was a good strike.

We'd opened up the game in the second half and created more chances, and it was just a case of when we'd put one in.

You also thumped a good one in at Matlock in pre-season?

Yes; I think I'm taking more of a chance now, it's given me a lot of confidence and I hope it carries on into the season.

How is pre-season going for you?

Good; I haven't picked up any injuries, touch wood, and the lads look fit; with hopefully a couple more additions, we can drive on.

As a team, are you playing it any differently?

I think we've just gone back to basics so that everybody knows their jobs, and hopefully we can carry it on, stay closer as a team and stick together. Everybody knows the jobs they need to be doing and there's no excuses, which is good, but everybody sticks together and helps eachother out, if someone's out of position, for example.

Are you looking forward to any particular games at the start of the new season?

I'm looking forward to all of them, really; I just want to play as many games as I can, score as many goals as I can and hope that the team plays as well as it can.

And "Player of the Season" again?

It's a long season, but let's hope so!
