Well Paul, two important goals
They were very important. We rode our luck in the first half and they could have been three or four goals up by half-time. But that's football if you don't put your chances away football can come and bite you on the backside.
Were words said at half -time?
Definitely, we sat too deep in the first half and they just kept coming at us and winning all the second balls. We switched to 4-4-2 and rolled our sleeves up and started to win second balls, which was the key really.
Tell us about the two goals
The Chief went down the left hand side, which is not something you see every day, and I attacked the near the post and got on the end of his cross and stabbed the ball home. For the second goal Mark Allott won the ball in midfield and I bent my run on to his pass and kept my head and knocked it past the keeper.
You had a chance for a hat trick, did you tread on the ball or something?
I had a couple of chances. There was one where I passed to Derek Niven instead of shooting myself and another pass from the Chief where a defender out strengthened me. But I am glad that I have got a couple of goals and my names back on the score sheet because I had gone a long time without a goal and it was starting to get to me.
So
Some people will think we are over-achieving by staying up. But we feel in the dressing room that we have under-achieved this season, which goes to show the standard we have set ourselves. But it's a big relief because we starting to look over our shoulders. We have a few games left MK Dons are on a bit of a roll and we have
The young defenders stood up and were counted
They showed great maturity and stood up and did well under a lot of pressure tonight.
