It was nice to get a goal today but I just wish that last one had have gone in. That would have just topped it off and could have got the win for us.

You set us on our way as early as the third minute

I picked up a little flick on and headed it down and thought "I'm going to have a go, here," so I went one-on-one with the centre-half, cut inside of him and had a swing at it. Luckily its gone in for me!

It looked like we might get to half time without conceding one

That was a good goal; I know Yatesey: he's at Tottenham with me and he can do that type of thing. We had a brilliant forty-five minutes then a ten-second lapse killed us. Instead of buzzing about going in 2-0 up we got our heads down and had to try to get ourselves back for the second half.

They were a different side in the second half?

Yes; they pushed on and put us under the cosh for a bit but we could have nicked it; we had a good penalty appeal and Adam Smith had a couple of chances.

And there was your run and shot against the post?

Yes, well, I picked it up and thought "There's nothing else on" and had a run at it; it opened up for me so I had a dig and I couldn't believe it didn't go in. The rebound bobbled up at the Chief, which made it hard for him.

The lads seemed to be up for this one?

We worked hard and got the draw - it's a valuable point for us. The aim among the players is to go to the end of the season unbeaten. When we played the better teams - Barnsley, Colchester and even Southend - we were the better side.
