WE DESERVED THREE POINTS TODAY
PAUL HALL speaks about the game and his 100th League goal - read the highlights here
Paul - 100 League goals and an equaliser for The Spireites.
It's a significant goal - I've reached that hallmark, now. Hopefully I can go past it and help the team do the best it can this season.
What about the game?
We did well; we pinned then back. It was easy to think that it might not go in, today, but that just shows the character around this football club this season. We go at people until the final whistle blows.
Just before you scored it looked like the keeper carried your header over the line?
I thought he did. I was probably the closest to it and I thought it went over.
There were one or two penalty decisions that might have been given on another day?
Yes - the ball came into my feet and he just took my legs away! There was another one, where Hursty cut in and the lad sprawled like a goalkeeper, and it hit him in the mid range - I thought it was a stone cold penalty.
Talk us through your goal.
Colin Larkin had the ball and showed great awareness and got it across the goal to me, in space. The keeper was bearing down on me but I just put it to one side of him.
You deserved three points?
Yes, today; there've been games where we haven't deserved it, but we did today. We've got a big run-in and if we can do well, who knows what can happen?
