On scooping his awards

It's fantastic and I am thrilled to win so many and it's humbling to win so many. It's been a very enjoyable season scoring all the goals I have. Goalscorers tend to get the glory compared to other players and perhaps that's happened a bit tonight.

Its always a bit good to get voted for by the supporters and media but the one that probably is the most special is the players player. It certainly means a lot to get acknowledged by your teammates who you work with day in day out. I remember looking at the website last year and seeing Downsey with all the awards and couldn't really imagine winning so many. But the season is still tinged with the disappointment that we failed to get into the play-offs.

Eighth though is still a good season. It's never easy to get straight back up after being relegated and hopefully we can build on this season for next. Lee Richardson has been brilliant with me and given me the confidence to score the goals I have scored this season and hopefully I will maintain that during next season.

On signing Rob Page

I know Pagey from my time at Sheffield United and I spoke to him last week in London and he said he thought he would be joining Chesterfield. I think it's a great signing for the Club he's a very good experienced defender who should be able to pass on his knowledge to some of our younger players.

Signing Pagey though will also help to attract others players to the Club as players will feel that Chesterfield are wanting to build on this season and are having a real go at getting promotion.
