I'm delighted after Saturday's game, it was a tough place to come and conditions were far from ideal for good football. On a personnel level I am delight to play ninety minutes after being out injured for seven months with an Achilles problem.

 

I only played a reserve game last Tuesday and Lee was probably there to watch it. So I am delighted to come to Chesterfield and help the lads hopefully on to promotion via the play offs. With five games left I can't see any reason why we can't win all five.

 

I only met up with the lads on Friday, they are a very young and small side. There's Fletch up front and Downsy at the back but the rest of the lads are not the biggest. So I think we defended really well and the lads can definitely play football.

 

A bit about Colin's career

I started at Coventry under Gordon Strachan and was released after my YT finished. I moved back to Ireland and won four League medals with Shelbourne, Pats and Bohemians. I then played for Doncaster in the Conference before going back to Ireland. I then got married and come back over to Coventry and then got injured last summer. Ian Dowie promised me another contract but last week Chris Coleman said they wouldn't be offering me anything along with eight others. So I am in the shop window really and delighted that Chesterfield Football Club have given me this opportunity
