I have had a good time here and have enjoyed it and perhaps the decision to leave was borne out of frustration really and these things happen in football. I have enjoyed at it immensely at
But I am 39 and still alive (laughs) and enjoying it and enthusiastic about the future. I found it initially difficult to combine the roles of coach and player but it's got easier with time and it could be an exciting prospect to do both again. I would have liked a greater roll or a longer roll on the pitch but the forwards have been doing a good job here. So like I say that's life. No doubt people will be saying one of the reasons I have left is because I didn't get the assistants job. But that was out of my hands and the manager decides who he wants around the club. I have known Lee along time and who knows we may work together again at some point in the future.
I have a few things in the pipeline and this week I will be going to a couple of clubs and see what they do training wise. But it will be strange experience being unemployed after twenty odd years in the game. I am not sure what will happen but I will need to do something as I get bored if I am not working.
But I have had a long career and been very fortunate and enjoyed every minute of it. It's been a fantastic adventure and I couldn't have wished for anything better.
