Chesterfield striker JAMIE WARD gave his thoughts to SPIREITES WORLD after getting his scoring boots on against Grimsby. Read the Highlights here.

"It was a great feeling to score on Saturday, It's part of football that you miss chances, I had a great chance against Hereford I just hit it and it smacked against the crossbar. Saturday's goal was a simple tap in really, but there was a lot of relief there. I'm confident in my finishing and I'm sure there will be more to come."

"It was good playing in Israel recently for the Under 21's and it was nice and warm out there.  We got beat 2-1 and realistically we may not qualify for the European Championships, even though we are currently top of the group, because other sides have games in hand. We have a friendly in March and then the final qualifier against Germany in August."

"Hopefully before that we (Chesterfield) can get automatic promotion or even into the play-offs."
