The Spireites are due to play the world's oldest football club when a Chesterfield XI take on Sheffield FC in a pre-season friendly before the start of the new season.

The game will be played at Sheffield FC's Coach & Horses ground in Dronfield on Monday 4 August 2008, kick-off 7.30pm.

Details of the Spireites full schedule of pre-season games will be announced later this week.
