Jack was in fine form for the Spireites in November, netting five goals in just three league games.

He began the month with a brace to earn his side a draw against Morecambe and produced a fine individual display to earn Chesterfield an impressive victory at league leaders Milton Keynes Dons.

The highlight of the month was his hat-trick in the 4-2 away win at Lincoln City that keeps them in the Play-Off places in Coca-Cola League 2.

Also short-listed for the November award were Theo Robinson of Hereford United (on loan from Watford), Aaron McLean of Peterborough United and Rotherham United's Mark Hudson.

On receiving his award Jack Lester said: "I am really pleased to receive this national award as it is the first one I have ever received."

Chris Kamara, chairman of the Powerade Player of the Month Awards panel, said: "Lester has been outstanding for Chesterfield. He's been amongst the goals and helped his team to some terrific results. There's no doubt he could play at a higher level but you have to prove it and he's done that."

Chris Iwelumo of Charlton Athletic won the award in the Championship and Clayton Ince of Walsall landed the League 1 accolade.

The Powerade Awards panel, chaired by Sky Sports pundit and Coca-Cola Ambassador Chris Kamara, made the decision based on league form alone.

The panel also includes Paul Hetherington, Chairman of the Football Writers' Association, Malcolm Clarke, Chairman of the Football Supporters' Federation and Tim Ellerton, Sponsorship Manager, Coca-Cola Great Britain.
