SPIREITES NEW STADIUM BOOST
WILSON Bowden Developments have today announced their intentions to submit a planning application to develop the former Demaglass site in
The site will be transformed with new retail and business premises and will provide a much needed new home for Chesterfield Football Club.
The property developer acquired the 22 acre site, ripe for regeneration in late 2005, and has since completed a major demolition and de-contamination programme in preparation for development.

The new 10,000 plus seater stadium for the country's fourth oldest football club, Chesterfield FC, will provide a new matchday experience for football supporters and will also be a venue in its own right for a variety of events, seven days a week.
The proposals also include plans to relocate the existing Tesco from its current location opposite the former Demaglass site, providing the national retailer with a much needed opportunity to expand their store in line with local demand.
Once completed, existing customers can expect a new look superstore with extra space for additional ranges.
The proposed development plans to be submitted at the end of February are being brought forward jointly by the three parties; Wilson Bowden Developments, Tesco and Chesterfield Football Club.
