Welcome to our records of the Chesterfield Football Club. I hope you'll find them of interest and use. You may download the files for private study offline but please contact us if you wish to use anything in any published format. If you want to see something that I haven't thought of putting up, let me know and, if the information is available, I'll do it.

The Essentials is a file that sets out the most basic information in a "football yearbook" style, and is a good starting-place.

Section One: General player records.

Chesterfield players with 100 FL appearances or more to their credit.

Chesterfield players with 25 FL goals or more.

Chesterfield's goalkeepers: Chesterfield goalkeepers' records in the Football League.

Chesterfield's oldest players: Likely to have changed by August 2007!

Chesterfield's youngest players: Self-explanatory - included by permission of Paul Kellett.

Chesterfield's hat-trick heroes.

Opponents' own goals: Opposing players' own goals for Chesterfield.

Sent off: Chesterfield players and opponents sent off. Believed complete from around 1996-7.

Section Two: Specific player records.

1891-1899: Players in Chesterfield Town's Sheffield League and Midland League days.

1899-1909: Chesterfield Town's Football League players.

1909-1921: Players with two Town clubs and a Municipal one!

Section Three: General match records.

Every Football League result against each club at home and away, on a season-by-season basis, filed by opponent name.

The complete cup records - every line-up for every cup match.

Chesterfield's aggregated Football League records against other clubs.

Aggregated records for each season - includes each season's top scorer.

Attendance analysis: A Work in Progress. Contains attendance records on a club and divisional basis since 1926. Regard the percentages as suspect, since I was terrible at these at school! Also has home attendance aggregate, average, high and low since 1926, on a season by season basis, on another page on the worksheet.

Attendance records: Changes in record attendances and receipts at the Rec.

Most and fewest: High and low figures for goals, wins, defeats etc in a season.

Sequence records Just that: runs of wins, scoring, clean sheets etc, across seasons.

Managers' records: Chesterfield Managers' records in the Football League.

Section four: Specific match records.

Friendly matches: On a couple of sheets; pre-1919 and post-1919.
