The under 12's hit the Dons for 6 with goals from Emily Montgomery, Alice Clarke, Laura O Neill, Billie Gordan and Alice Walker. Kashlie Johnson was again outstanding in defence for Chesterfield who were always in command.

Chesterfield's under 14's created several early chances with Ruby Burns & Suzie Gelson going close, But it was Harriet Flint who opened the scoring with a terrific left foot strike on the edge of the box, which dipped over the keeper and into the back of the net. Chesterfield's confidence was brimming over as they went onto to play some intelligent attractive football. The home side were unable to add another goal in the first half but they never looked like conceding as the back four of Lauren Jubb, Emma Crump, Lauren-Allen Warwick and Grace Newbold were playing together as a unit by covering for each other to deny their opposition.

The second period saw Hannah Dutton and Mellisa Wilcockson coming on and both doing well with Mellisa's pace down the flank causing allsorts of problems and Hannah laying off some fine forward passes. Mid-way through the half Chesterfield were awarded a free kick of which Harriet Flint took and hit the ball over the wall and snugly into the top near corner giving the keeper no chance.

With a two goal cushion Chesterfield had the luxury to change a few things in the third period giving Amber Wildgust and Suzie Gelson the opportunity to partner each other up front, with Harriet Flint going into defence giving Megan Nelson a chance in the middle of the park. Goalkeeper Paulette Spencer was having her an excellent game making a number of saves and her quick distribution of the ball allowed Chesterfield to counter attack quickly. Chesterfield increased their lead with a delightful goal from Megan Hudson who lobbed the keeper and the advancing defence from 20 yards out. Chesterfield were not having it all there own way as MK Dons were awarded a consolation goal with 10 minutes remaining despite Paulette getting her finger tips to the ball it dropped behind her and crossed the line. Final score 3-1.

A great display today from the under 14's as they finally played together as a team with good communication and understanding throughout the game. Player of the match awarded to Harriet Flint

One proud and happy coach

The under 16's were involved in a hard fought contest. The Blues were well on top in the early stages and had several crosses and shots

The Dons gradually fought their way back into the game and took the lead with a fine shot into the top left corner, which the keeper could do nothing about.

The equaliser came from a long ball played into the path of Hayley Manners who surged powerfully down the touchline and then drove the ball across the penalty area for Siobhan Wood to apply the finish.

For the second period Chesterfield changed form the normal 4-4-2 formation to 3-5-2. The players adapted well to this with Catherine Davie displaying her speed and skill up and down the right wing and it was rare that the defenders have to deal with pressure from the Dons strike force.

Aime Bramman dealt with one of these attacks with a well-placed slide tackle, which stopped an attacker in her tracks.

Left midfielder Emily Love and striker  Hayley Manners continued to pose problems for the home defence and it was no surprise that they scored a winning goal courtesy of Siobhan Wood who latched on to a deflected corner.
