Unfortunately numbers have decreased for SAQ training which is disappointing as we consider this to be an important element of player development. I understand that for players traveling long distances it can be difficult to attend every week but we would like players to attend on a more regular basis.

My information indicates that we are the only Centre in the country that offers this facility and in the long term I am convinced that it will give our players the extra edge.

As from this Thursday we have had to change the time slots, something we were reluctant to do but unfortunately beyond our control.

The first slot will now be 7.30-8.30 pm and the second slot 8.15pm-9.15 pm.

Centre Captains

Catherine Davie and Grace Harrison have been appointed Centre captains.

Their responsibilities will include mentoring players and representing the centre in media events and presentations.

Sponsors

There are now opportunities to sponsor the centre as a whole or with individual age groups.

For a negotiated sum sponsors would be able to have their name/logo on players shirts, newsletters, and web site.

Income would be used to improve facilities at the centre and reduce the costs of match fees for parents.

If you are interested please contact The centre director for a no obligation informal chat.

Footie Chick

Footie Chick specialize in the manufacture of  football kit for girls.

Footie Chick have been appointed as technical kit supplier to Chesterfield C of E. A special presentation will be held in November.

Player Development/ MATCH DAY VOLUNTEERS

Many of you may have been disappointed with the results of our first 2 matches, however I can inform you that our coaches have been delighted with the attitude and commitment shown by our players against 2 of the best C of E's sides in the country.

The most important aspect of the Centre is player   development and results are of secondary importance.

We have some fine players at Chesterfield and with the introduction of weekly fixtures I am confident that our players will show dramatic improvement over the course of the season.

Match day volunteers

We are looking for 2 volunteers per teams for home matches to put up the nets and corner flags.

Our coaches have a multitude of jobs on match days therefore your assistance is vital. Please contact Stewart to offer your support
