Local girls who have been inspired by the World Cup are getting the chance to play football next season with Chesterfield F.C Girl's Centre of Excellence. 

Trials will be held on consecutive Monday's at Brookfield Community School, Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield. S40 3NS

The Centre of Excellence offers high quality coaching and a structured pathway into England International football.

Successful participants will receive technical and educational support and play weekly fixtures for the first time next season in the newly formed Eastern and East Midlands Centre of Excellence league.

Centre Director, Stewart Rowley, who is keen to recruit more players from within the Chesterfield area, said: "I am confident that there are more players locally that can play at a higher level, and for aspiring footballers this could even be the first stage of realising an ambition to play for their country"
