Chesterfield F.C Girls Centre of Excellence are to launch a new multi skills club and a Girls Football Development Centre, both taking place at Brookfield Community School,Chatsworth Road, Chesterfield

The multi skills club will be run in liaison with Chesterfield Schools Sport Partnership and will operate in term time on Monday evenings 4pm-5pm starting on Monday June 12th,2006.

 

Centre of Excellence Director Stewart Rowley was keen to include long-term athlete development as part of the Centre's coaching structure, he said:  " Head Coach Cameron Evans and myself are both sold on the idea of ltad and have been out to local Schools delivering multi skills sessions which have been well received by students  The sessions are not Sport specific and are designed to develop the FUNdamental Movement Skills and FUNdamental Sport Skills of young people in order that they can progress into the sport of their choice as a fun participant and/or performance athlete."

The Chesterfield F.C. Girls Football Development Centre  will also provide an opportunity for beginners and existing club players aged 5-11 to be coached by the Centre of Excellence staff  who will monitor their progress and provide pathways into club football and if appropriate the Centre of Excellence.
