The Chesterfield FC Girls Centre of Excellence gives talented female footballers the opportunity to receive quality coaching and to play against top class opposition on a regular basis.

The Centre forms a major part of the FA's female player pathway and fully adheres to the long-term player development philosophy (LTPD).

Girls are given the opportunity to develop within a structured environment under the guidance of former England under 17 coach Jane Ebbage and a team of high quality FA qualified coaches who use the latest coaching methods.

FA scouts regularly monitor the girls' progress with a view to exceptional players going on to represent National squads.

During the season of 2007/2008, the centre will consist of 4 squads, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16.

The squads will train twice a week. Each team plays fixtures home and away as part of the Midlands Centre of Excellence League against other Centre's such as Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Aston Villa.

Players interested in taking part in the trials may register on the day.

The sessions will be on grass pitches at the back of the School and players are expected to bring boots/training shoes and shin pads.
