The under 12's were involved in a contest made difficult by the rock hard rutted surface and windy conditions. Both teams struggled to find any form but it was the visitors who went close with striker Kirby Hunt arriving at the right time to bounce the ball narrowly wide. Chesterfield keeper Sophie Baggley pulled off some excellent saves but in the main it was a poor contest spoilt by the difficult conditions.
Under 14's
MK Dons 1 v Chesterfield 1.
In windy conditions and on a hard uneven surface both teams struggled to string a number of passes together. Aided by the strong wind Chesterfield had most of the play, but despite the pressure Chesterfield had nothing to show for their efforts.
The back four of Lauren Jubb, Lauren Warwick, Suzie Gelson and Grace Newbold were outstanding and confident in their play. 0-0 at the break Chesterfield came out for the second half in a determined fashion and began to finally play some good passing football with Harriett Flint bossing the middle-field. The deadlock was broken from a freaky goal as the ball bobbled on the uneven surface and was cleared and rebounded of the MK Dons striker and cruelly fell into the back of the Chesterfield goal. The final 30 minutes saw Chesterfield pin their opposition back as they mounted a series of attacks with both Annabel Chaplin and Christy Long coming close.
Chesterfield were rewarded with a much deserved equaliser when top class goalkeeper Paulette Spencer kicked the ball out of her hands down the middle of the pitch and assisted by the wind bounced in front of the MK Dons keeper over her head and into the back of the net.
The remaining 10 minutes was all Chesterfield as they played their football in the home sides half but took one too many touches when a shot would do. A good performance as this team just keeps on improving. Head coach Andrew Eastwood was delighted by the performance "The Girls showed great character and were a credit to Chesterfield centre of excellence".

With the pressure put on the home team they conceded a corner. Gibson delivered an in swinger and when the ball bounced back to her she calmly lobbed the ball over the keepers head and into the net.
The visitors were controlling the game with defender Aimee Bramman quickly breaking up any potential attacks. Barley knight was again goal provider ripping through the MK defence then providing Nicole Dale with her second goal. Chesterfield finished the half much the stronger team which showed in the five goals to one score.
In the second half Sarah Loftus went in goal after doing a magnificent job as right back in the first half. But just like the first half the keeper did not have to do much. Although Chesterfield were playing the ball all around only one goal was scored which gave Gibbo her hat-trick.
