Saturday's game is far from a nothing game. It's a game we want to win and to finish with three points and put on a good performance for our supporters. We are all still disappointed at missing out on promotion and the play off's. But Notts County have only just stayed in the league and they beat us earlier in the season, so we have a point to prove and then to finish on high.

Steve Fletcher is looking doubtful though with a hamstring strain. Jack Lester trained again this week after his latest operation and is looking sharp so he may feature. But we want to win the game and get the three points.

Jack Lester's had a good season

He has had a good season but it's gone a bit sour with his injury and if he doesn't get thirty goals this season it's perhaps a good easy target to set himself for next season 30 goals and a Spireites promotion. It's his most prolific season so far in his career and we look forward to him maintaining that next season.

Any progress on new contracts offers

The deadline is still a couple of weeks away and its still on going. We have made offers bearing in mind League regulations and we await and see how the players respond. Things are ongoing but we will be bringing in a number of players no matter what. We lost 22 points with not much of the game left this season and from that it's pretty clear we require a leader on the pitch and they typically are at the back end of the team and that is my top priority.
