I am delighted with the effort and commitment we showed on a horrendous surface. It's a real shame for the people of Stockport that they have been consumed in a way by a rugby club, and they now have a playing surface that's a joke really.

Both teams rode their luck at times, and it's one of those games that we might have won but equally we could have lost so a point just keeps us ticking over. So credit to both teams for putting on an excellent football match and to be fair, it could have been 4-4, 5-5 whatever, because there were chances at both ends.

I thought Downsy and young Brendan Moloney were both excellent against a young but very big physical and athletic Stockport side.  I am also pleased that Brendan Moloney will be staying with us until the end of the season. It makes sense all round really and he's a great little player and we are pleased to have him.

Jamie took some stick from the home fans and he's been perhaps a little anxious when in front of goal of late. But as long as his performances are good and he's creating things for other players, I can't really ask for a lot more from a young player.

Their front three of Elding, Dickinson and Proudlock are a real handful. But we probably could have snatched it right at the end with Jack's chance. But it was a rip-roaring type of game and I am thrilled with the commitment  we showed and we are now looking forward to facing Chester at Saltergate on Saturday.

Finally, I would like to pay tribute and thank our supporters again. I didn't do that on Saturday at Wycombe and apologise for that. Tonight they were fantastic again and really backed the team in a great game of football.
