We will be missing Kevin Gray (hamstring), Wayne Allison (calf) and Alan O'Hare's had to go back to Ireland sadly for a couple of family funerals. On a brighter note Phil Picken is back into contention for the game against my old mate Keith Hill.

I was at Blackburn with Keith and we had some good times together there. Though eventually we fell foul in away to Jack Walker spending his millions, Keith went to Plymouth and I moved on to Aberdeen. So I am looking forward to what will be a tough game and they will definitely be a force to be reckoned with and a have a good away record. I just hope the weather improves and we get a decent surface to play on.

Really though the season starts again on Wednesday and we are in a decent position along with several other clubs. We could really do with going on a run that takes us clear and into the automatic promotion spots. I have a real belief in the current squad and can't fault their efforts so far other than perhaps in the first half on Saturday and against Rotherham.

We are currently actively looking to bring in a couple of experienced players before the transfer window closes and I am talking to a couple of players and clubs at the moment. I am hopeful that we will be able to bring in at least a new face or faces in the next week or so.
