Firstly congratulations on the birth of your daughter

It was a bit to close for comfort for mum in terms of post delivery but she's now making great strides and we hope she will make a full recovery in the next week or so. Agatha's a really healthy baby and no worries there, just Amanda gave us a scare. I would like to thank the Chairman for allowing me time off and the way things developed it was pretty vital I was around at home.

Fortunately we have good staff and we have continued our away form with two good victories and two clean sheets. But now we face Wrexham and it's important to take nothing for granted and the league table can be misleading and we certainly won't be taking them for granted.

Wrexham won't be coming here to make up the numbers and they will want to get something from the game. The danger is a lot of supporters will expect a mauling, and hopefully, that will be the case so we can send our supporter's home happy after picking up three points. But we will also need the same mentality that we have shown of late to keep it tight and keep a clean sheet to ensure we don't slip up.

Phil Picken will miss the game after a bizarre accident at home in which he cut a tendon on his knuckle after falling on some glass and he looks like being out for another two to three weeks following an operation. Steve Fletcher's got a bit of swelling on his knee so we will see how that is tomorrow. Pleasingly though Jamie Ward looked more like his usual self in training today

We have also agreed with a Premiership Club that a wide player will be joining us on Thursday and he's a player I am really excited about bringing to Saltergate. We are also in talks with Stoke about keeping Adam Rooney on loan. Sadly that means there really isn't any room for Felix Bastians so he will be returning to Forest. We thank Felix for his efforts and I will be keeping an eye on Felix because I like him and I think there is more to come from him.
