That's two scrappy wins on the trot and it's another clean sheet which is massive for us. The game seemed to be drifting to a 0-0 at halftime and we put a move together and Peter Leven was brought down and he stuck it away well. In the second half they went down to ten men and we sat back and tried to pick them off. Today I think we finally proved that we can scrap and fight. Perhaps it could have been two nil or more but we will take the 1-0 and the clean sheet.

I think we learn't a lot from the Accrington defeat which was a similar game it's not pretty and sometimes you have to win ugly. Aaron Downes deserves a lot of credit today he took a lot of flack after Accrington but he got his head down and worked hard everyday and that how you get a career. We took Jamie Ward off because he felt his hamstring was a little tight so we took him off before anything serious happened.

I would like to thank the supporters they were fantastic. It wasn't pretty football but they stuck behind the players and they helped us get the 1-0 win.We face Barnet next and it will be a tough game down there and they beat us earlier in the season.

Lee missed the game today following the birth of his daughter who is okay but there have been a few complications with Amanda his wife. The last time I spoke to him before kick off he said that she was okay but our thoughts are with him and his wife.
