A great result, and a much needed one at home. Everybody expects free flowing football but you never get that in a local derby.  We came in at half-time and told the players to be patient and then we had two moments of brilliance with Jack Lester and Jamie Ward's finishes.

We had decided to bring Fletch at half-time because the two centre halves were copying well and Fletch then came on and won everything. Phil Picken put his foot through it no doubt he will say it was a cultured ball through to Jack and he finished well. The second goal came from another great pass this time from Jamie Winter to set Wardy away.

The best thing though was we kept a clean sheet and we saw the game out with ten men. I can understand why the referee sent him off  but I feel it was harsh but on the flip side you can see why he was sent off. We then brought Aaron Downes on to keep our shape and we will miss Kevin but we are fortunate that we will have last years player of year ready to step in.

We all new a result would come at home and today's a big win for us and confidence is high again and we answered our critics with a thoroughly professional performance.
