MK Dons are setting the pace at the moment and have a squad which most managers in League Two would envy. So they will be there or there abouts come the end of the season and are the form team to beat.

We have had an international break and we have to be proud that the players are being called up but we have to try and use it to our advantage. Both Jamie Ward and Adam Rooney are back and have trained today. The flying kangeroo Aaron Downes is in mid air apparently and due back tomorrow morning but he misses the game due to suspension alongside Phil Picken.

Other than that I have a full squad to pick from.  The two friendly games have helped the return to fitness of Steve Fletcher and Jamie Lowry. I have been trying to bring in a utilty type player on loan and we were very close with two. One was a defensive player and the other a midfield stroke striker. I am happy with the squad but if we do bring anyone in it might have allowed us the option of letting a player out on loan for more pitch time.

Halifax were interested in taking Gareth Davies but under Blue Square rules they can't take him on loan at the moment. Jamie Jackson last week joined Matlock on loan. Jamie's not really been at the party this season so the opportunity to play games will have a positive impact on him. Hopefully Jamie will realise that football is like running up a hill you can't stop otherwise people will come past you and early reports suggest he's reacting in the right way.
