From our point of view, extremely disappointing, that we haven't won today. It was one of the strangest games I've been involved in: we had more than enough chances to win and completely dominated for the first hour until the chaos which was their equaliser, which is always liable if you don't finish teams off.

The real concern is the chances we seem to carve out for the opposition at times; we left a gaping hole for Dagenham and in the end we might be thankful that we took a point from the game - Barry Roche pulled off a fine save to stop them going home with all three points.

The young players in there have to realise that we have to punish teams when we're on top and have to take chances. We are left scratching our heads as to why we haven't won the game. They will be delighted to have got a point out of that but its not the end of the World; we move on. I'm not convinced we'll have another so one-sided game at Saltergate this season but if we do, we've got to make sure we don't allow the opposition a chance to get something out of the game.

There were positives; we completely controlled it for most of the game and played some decent stuff. We broke them down on numerous occasions and had several one-on-one chances. But today should have been a mauling, and it turned into a smash and grab. We're the ones with a bitter taste in our mouths and egg on our faces: we've lost two points that we shouldn't have done.

At the moment we don't look like we've got a "nil" in us. We gave them two chances, and that's the big negative. We don't look as though we can keep a clean sheet. I said to the players before the game, "Keep a clean sheet and we will win," but we haven't. I'm not too concerned about the other end because you have days like that and today was one of them. But that "one" for Dagenham sticks in my throat and I can't accept that.
