It was a great result; it's a tough place to come and a tough team to play against. We had the worst possible start when we didn't deal well with the long throw but we managed to claw our way back into the game. We thought on the sidelines that if we managed to get it down and pass it, then we'd score; we did that with a great strike from Roons, and all of a sudden, we're going in at half time in the ascendancy.

We said at halftime that if we can pass it, that's the way forwards. Its easy to say it now, but we work on passing, and moving the ball quickly, and support, in training. We worked it really well around the pitch for Jamie's goal. The final bit was the pull-back and Jamie's there, to put it in. That's how we want the players to play - we want them to pass the ball.

When Jack took the penalty we're all thinking "Just smash it!" but Jack is in form at the moment and had the confidence to chip it. Jack and Wardy opened them up again just after but Jack put it just over, and unfortunately we switched off at their free kick and gave them a free header. You know that they're going to get the ball and launch it forward after that but happily we stood up to that challenge. That's the pleasing thing - I think there's seven eight-footers... (laughs) seven six-footers in their team, they've got a long throw and you know what they're going to do, but I didn't think they were going to score at the end; if anything, I thought we'd catch them on the counter-attack. The longer it went on, the more comfortable we looked.

Jamie Ward has been unfortunate with his injury but we think he's one of the best strikers in the league. He's enthusiastic and wants to win, and best of all, he wants the ball. Hopefully, getting 20 or 25 minutes is a start for him, and he'll remain injury-free for the rest of the season. We think he'll play for Northern Ireland but we have an agreement that he'll only play part of the game, since we don't think he's ready for 90 minutes just yet. We've got a good strike force but he adds to it

Our support was fantastic and we're happy to give them a good afternoon out. The first half, when we weren't particularly entertaining, they stayed with us. The goal lifted them and they lifted us. We come out second half, with the impetus and them behind us. We're delighted they've had a great afternoon.

I don't think we've been out of the top five all season - there's plenty of other teams who'd like our record. It's a young squad overall, that we're putting together and working with, and this is a season's work. We sat down and talked after ten games and thought that eighteen points- five wins, three draws, two defeats - was a pretty good haul. The next ten games, we try to improve on that. We've got a team that wants to learn and a team that wants to win. We think we're going the right way and we're excited about the future.
