" The NottsCounty game is a test of our character and what's termed now bouncebackability and it's important that we do bounce back. We were poor last Saturday and showed a lack of urgency for 70 minutes or so but perhaps we should still have got a draw out of the game.
Barnet came with a game plan and played a 4-3-3 system with their wide strikers on our fullbacks and we didn't cope with that well at times. Barnet gave us our first home defeat the last time we were in this division when I was playing. Like back then we have got to make surethe Barnet game is the kick up the backside that makes us aware that any team can do you harm if you don't do your job properly.
There are no new injuries to report so we are still missing Jamie Ward , Adam Smith and Nicky Travis. I have two options this weekend either to give the players who played last weekend an opportunity to respond or to make changes straight away. As a manager you can never be satisfied with your team though we have a lot capability within the squad. We are always looking to improve on the training field or if i know I have, if needed, the backing of the Chairman and Board to bring players in.
I hope we can perform on a large wide pitch like we did at Peterborough and our challenge will be to create width and to give a similar type of performance and a similar result. We have to remain confident but not over confident. We have done well so far but a maxim of mine is that you are only as good as your next game and not your last game."
