We are all disappointed at the result, but more so the performance. For eighty minutes I thought we were awful; I thought we were static all over the park. We looked like we thought the three points were there to be given to us. It was only after they scored, really, that we showed any sense of urgency and, from then on, looked the more threatening side.

Their game plan worked well, especially in the first half where they came with the 4-5-1, or the 4-3-3, which ever way you look at it, and got lots of midfield possession, although they didn't really cause us any problems. We lacked width because of changing things to combat what they were doing and it was a frustrating game.

We have a multi-ball system which has worked perfectly this season, but because a couple of balls came on in the corner flag area the referee in his wisdom decided the system should be scrapped, then you had the farce of their supporters holding the only ball we have left. Those kind of things mounted up and one or two decisions went against us to make for a frustrating afternoon. At the end of it, having had four substitutions, God knows how many cramps and what have you, and two visits from the referee to talk to his fourth official, we end up with three minutes' stoppage time.

That's by the by - we were poor, we were terrible, but the officials weren't that far off us.

We had the game's best chances and were done on a sucker punch. It is an early reminder that, no matter how easily we can beat teams without getting into top gear, that doesn't last forever.

For the opening part of the game we showed some urgency but lacked quality in possession. We hurried and scurried without doing anything to upset them. We were on the back foot for most of the game. We cannot afford to be like that against any opposition - we need to learn from this, and learn quickly. We've had an excellent start and this is not the end of the World. There's a long, long season to go, so we need to remember this performance and not let it happen again.
