"We have two or three niggles to check on, Gregor Robertson, Peter Leven and Jamie Lowry. Gareth Davies and Nicky Travis have joined us for training this week but they won't be available for selection this weekend, Jamie Ward and Adam Smith are a long way from contention. Gareth inparticular needs games he hasn't played since Matlock some six or seven weeks ago, the reserve matches we have are not enough and I want him to be fighting for a place with us. At the moment his toe is very sore and for the meantime he will be staying here.

"We must guard against complacency on Saturday whether it be Barnet or Birmingham whatever level you play at. We've talked about this and we have to play with the same attitudes for any game".

"The Multiball system is working well, we have suffered a little over the years when we have been waiting for the ball to come out from the crowd or the fourth official has to send another ball out. So long as it's fair for both sides, I haven't seen any problems with it so far. It's good for the crowd also they see more passages of play and the impetus isn't lost".

"Jamie Winter has certain challenges to make him a better player, we saw the potential he had at Leeds United, I wouldn't single him out as any different a player, he has his own style, as an ex-midfielder myself I hope I can help him, all players have strengths and weaknesses so comparing him to other players is not fair".

"The Club's initative at bringing fresh supporters is a positive one, this is possibly the last year at Saltergate and it would be nice for people to sample the atmosphere here with it potentially being the last season, I hope that younger ones, mums and dads even grandmas and granddads come along and become Spireites till they die so to speak".
