After the match Lee Richardson said:

"Pleased that we got something out of the game against a decent Stockport outfit. I thought we were generally slow to pick up the pace and a little hesitant. Pleased to get a point in a game we could have lost. We changed things around a little, Jamie Jackson came on and played well and for a bit of thought could have squared the ball for the Chief (Wayne Allison) and Jack (Lester)"

"I thought Jack was a key player and this is why we have signed him. He's got the quality and he could have had three or four goals today"

"For the first hour we kept the same formation then we changed to 4-4-2 there was certainly flow to the match and we really should have won the game".

"Nicky Travis picked up an ankle injury in training yesterday and we hope it's not going to keep him out for weeks and weeks. We'll check on Monday as we have reserve team game against Doncaster. Aaron Downes picked up a head injury and he's a little woosy, he's due to go with the Australian under 23's to Iraq or Qatar and we may decide that might not be best for him".

"I think overall we are disappointed we haven't picked up six points but the first four or five games will see us play the better teams in the division and it gives an opportunity to see what this division is about".
