LEE: THE SUPPORT WAS TREMENDOUS
After the match Lee Richardson said:
"The support we got was tremendous and I want to thank the supporters for turning out in such great numbers. In the end we might have lost the game 3-1 but we won comfortably the battle of the supporters, I thought ours were magnificent."
"I also thought the lads put up a good display in the first half and we were very unfortunate to go in at half-time 2-1 down, but we paid the price for a little piece of sloppy defending. When up against teams with real quality strikers you can get punished and that's what happened. All three goals just showed the strength in depth that they have got in terms of the strikers and all three goals were taken brilliantly. In fairness, if it had not been for Barry Roche maybe one or two more would have gone in, but at the other end we had our chances as well."
"We lost one of our main threats up front during the first half when Jamie Ward pulled his hamstring. It is a concern and a disappointment for Jamie but it has possibly opened up an opportunity for someone else."

"I think many of our players showed up well but they also got a bit of a lesson at times. There are lots of positives we can take from the game and I want to concentrate on those because some of the negatives we have to allow for given the nature of the opposition."
