Lee, cup action away at Sheffield United on Tuesday

We are under no illusions about the size of the task but we are all looking forward to going there and we know from last year we can put in good performances against teams from higher leagues. It will be a tough test, Sheffield United were unfortunate to be relegated and are probably favourites to bounce straight back with their big squad.

Any changes to the team

Possibly it gives us another chance to try out the various systems we will be using through out the season. We have no new injuries and we are waiting to see if Paul Shaw as recovered from his throat infection.

Some supporters thought the 4-3-3 formation was a bit narrow

I think people can get bogged down with formations. It is really important to have flexibility and you have width but you don't have to stick to a tried and trusted 4-4-2 to get that . Jamie Ward on Saturday did a lot of his good work out wide.

What you need is a system that suits the players you have and rigid systems are not really played any more. The formation fluctuates with the game depending if your defending or attacking. I don't want to sound like Mike Bassett but formations don't make football teams, players make football teams.
