A thoughtful Spireites boss said: "It's a clean sheet at the end of the day and that's the major positive we can take out of it.  It could have gone sour for us in the last couple of minutes of injury time with a bit of a mishap in the centre of our defence.

Overall though, disappointed that we haven't won the game with the chances we created.  I counted at least four good chances that we had to score and although in the second half Chester put us under a lot of pressure for 25 minutes and caused us to change shape.  I thought in the end it looked like we were in the ascendancy again when we took the two lads out wide.  Overall, we'll settle for a point but we are kicking ourselves because we should have won all three."

"In the first half we were clearly the better side and should have gone in front at half time.  I think it is important that you do take your chances when they come because they do take a little bit of pressure off and forces the opposition to go into panic mode a little bit."
