Lee - it was a bit of a rampage at Stocksbridge?

We must take the result with a pinch of salt; although we're pleased to score eight goals, Stocksbridge weren't in the position they'd like to be this season yet, fitness-wise. We got some more relatively competitive football under our belts, but there's more work to do.

Adam Smith was a surprise inclusion?

Adam's had a long-running knee injury and we've been careful with that. It has been in my mind to send him out on loan to get some football, but he's looked reasonably fit in training, so I decided to give him a run out last night. He scored a goal and set a couple up, so he obviously showed no ill-effects.

Jamie Winter got a full 90?

He's a ball-playing midfielder of the sort we haven't had here since I was playing (smiles modestly!) and can run a game with his passing, but his challenge is to improve his fitness. I'm looking for him to become a key player for us.

How's Barry Roche?

We were concerned because we thought he may have contracted glandular fever, but he's responded well to antibiotics. He's lost a few pounds but has done well in training and may feature at Scunthorpe. The pre-season schedule wasn't as I'd have liked it and a couple of sides have let us down for games, so everyone should get a run-out again tomorrow at Scunthorpe, and we'll look to use the York and Bridlington games to play something like the side that will play at Chester, and those who'll miss out on the Chester game.

Don't miss a thing!
