Lee RichardsonWe will take stock and try to put a squad together that will make the final full a season of Saltergate's history special by winning promotion back into League One.

Will there be changes in the squad

Yes there will be changes. A management role is always ongoing and player recruitment is always a fundamental part of the job. We have a few targets in mind of players we would like to bring in, but also we will be looking to see if others emerge after being released by other clubs. There is lots to be done and we are going to relish the challenge of making this football club better.

I know some supporters are disappointed without a more significant change in the leadership role. I can understand that. But all I will say to them is that no one else will work harder to bring success to this Football Club. Chesterfield spends more money on players to the ratio of its income than lots of other clubs. So one of the bigger challanges we face is to get more people through the gate. So that the more money will be available for the team and the cycle goes on.

Some supporters feel that's a criticism of them

Not at all are we are poorly supported club through the turnstile. So it's not a criticism to say there are not  enough of them. We do appreciate those that turn up week in week out at home and also those who travel and follow the team. what we are going to do is look at everyway possible angle to build the club future from the foundations up. We will be looking to bring in more supporters starting with Football in the Community under Andy Morris visiting schools and we will try and raise the profile of the Club within the town. So it's not a criticism of our supporters it's a criticism of the absentees

It's the time of year where some players futures are uncertain how can it effect players

It's one of the primary factors as to why we are in this position. Players can relish the challenge of earning a contract either at the club you are with  or  by playing well elsewhere. It can also affect people in a negative way. With thirteen players out of contract it's obvious that the uncertainty has affected some in a negative way. But dealing with uncertain times is part of the job.

So there will be some familiar faces some departures and some new faces

Exactly a combination of both
