FITNESS UPDATE
Jamie you are the busiest man at Saltergate at the moment what's the latest?
Gaz Davies and Anthony Jubb have both rejoined training on Monday. Janos Kovacs came off on Saturday with a slight ankle twist and he's rejoined training this morning (Tuesday) after he spent a day with us yesterday and he looked okay today. A decision will be made late on Wednesday if Janos will play apart against
Steve Blatherwick missed Saturday's game more as a precaution really after his back went in spasm. He could have been out for a few weeks. But his back seems to have settled down and he says he's feeling better today and he's joined in some light training obviously with a hope of being involved on Wednesday.
Alex Bailey will have his pot removed a week on Wednesday and we then hope his knee injuries settled down and he can start work on his building his knee up.
Aaron Downes ankles improving all the time and he should be running again next week, then if everything goes okay he should be back in two to three weeks
What about the mumps out break how did that effect things?
Four of the youth team and Gaffers went down with it. Touch wood none of the first teams have gone down so far and we have had no new cases for nine days. It's an awkward one with an incubation period of two - three weeks so with any look we are well on the way to getting over it.
We worked with the Health Services and took every precaution that we could to stop it spreading. But its tough if you get it there's not a lot you can do other than let it run its course. So our preparations for
