FITNESS UPDATE
Only two main injuries to report at this early stage of the season , firstly Gareth Davis suffered a fracture to his big toe in the pre season friendly against Matlock. This was caused by a collision with their goalkeeper as he tried to lift the ball over him . Gaz was then taken off and sent to hospital for an x ray, this confirmed a fracture at the base of his big toe, as with all injuries of this nature we then booked him in with our specialist to get a better idea to the extent of the injury and how long he will be sidelined for. After this consultation Gaz was put in plaster for three weeks and is due to see the specialist again today. Hopefully after this we will get the all clear to start some training and build Gaz up to full training.
The second injury is to Jamie Ward who suffered a hamstring injury in the cup game at
Peter Leven who was taken off at half time of Saturdays game with a sore hip flexor. After treatment on Sunday and Monday this has settled down quite well and we will continue with the treatment in a bid to get him 100% fit for Friday night's game.
