Chesterfield FC's range of activities for the half-term holiday week gets underway next week and you can enrol now.

There is a three day Soccer Training Camp at Holmebrook Valley Country Park on 23 - 25 October from 10.00am to 3.00pm. Cost for this course is £25.

Chester's Mini Kickers course for younger players will be held at Sheepbridge Social Club, Newbold Road on Monday 23 October and Friday 27 October from 10.00am to 12 noon.  Course costs £6 but a discount of £1 applies if booked in advance. 

As usual there is a Holiday Fun Club being run everyday during the half-term holiday at the Saltergate Social Club from 8.30am to 5.30pm.  Cost for this activity is £12 a day, £15 if taking part in the football, which must be booked separately.

The normal Saturday Morning Club, sponsored by SBK computers, is currently being held at Holmebrook Valley Country Park from 9.30am to 11.30am (registration from 9.15am). You can turn up on the day to enrol for this activity, which costs £3.50.  Youngsters should wear boots and shin pads and correct clothing for the weather.

Any promising players will get the chance to be selected for the club's Centre of Excellence or the Junior Blues football team.

SOCCER CAMP

The course consists of skills coaching during the morning session and small-sided games during the afternoon.  Children will playin a tournament format, with points being added up over the three days.  There will be a chance to win medals and trophies.  There are only 70 places available each day, so please book early to avoid disappointment - minimum 2 days only.  Shin pads must be worn on all soccer courses.  All children need to bring suitable clothingm with a packed lunch and plenty of non-fizzy drinks.  Any promising players will get the opportunity to be selected for Junior Blues/Centre of Excellence.  Our soccer courses have been awarded the FA Charter Standard Holiday Course Award.

This course provides combination of set drills, fun skills, orientated games and small-sided games to teach the essential skills in phases.  The programme opens up a wide range of football for younger players, which will help the youngsters with a variety of interactive social skills with emphasis on co-ordination and player development.  This also allows young players the chance to take part in their first structured football lessons and will build up the desire to coninue playing and enjoying football throughout their life.  Chester the Field Mouse will be there to hand out any medals and certificates.

Children will be entertained with board games, basketball, arts and crafts, play station 2's, gameboys, table football, music, dvds, pool, and table tennis.  The Holiday Fun Club is open to boys and girls.  On Fridays the children will be taken out on a trip of their choice, they can choose from cinema, laser quest, bowling and golf driving range.
