Football in the Community The Saturday Morning Club is still averaging way above usual numbers with 70+ children attending the Club every week.  The "Indian Summer" weather we are having is helping to attract the children with normally by this time of year Holmebrook Valley being a swamp but instead is more like a cricket pitch.  The Club is one of our main sources of income in helping us deliver more events to children in around the Chesterfield area.  For those die hard children who attend every week, we thank you; your support is highly appreciated.

As stated in our previous notes we are in the early stages of trying to organise a tour to Highbury in the February half term holiday's.  With places bound to be snapped up quickly like the Anfield trip we do advice that when we announce the trip is defiantly going ahead you get in touch with us as soon as possible to book a place.

Also we are thinking about putting on a trip to the new Wembley Stadium in June (if the stadium is finished!!) depending on whether trips will be going ahead at the box office.

We would like to congratulate the Chesterfield Junior Blues under 7's and under 8's on a fantastic performance when they played on Saltergate last Saturday.  It is fair to say that all the kids were nervous as we would expect playing in front of so many people.  We would like to thank all the supporters for cheering the kids on, they all LOVED the experience!!

TESCO VOUCHER

Chesterfield Football in the Community have been collecting Sports Vouchers to purchase New Equipment for their highly successful Saturday Morning Club based at Holmebrook Valley Park every Saturday Morning between 10am and 1pm.

With more than 80 kids each week attending with fully qualified coaches, they are aiming for around 3,500 vouchers which gives them a change of having Frank Lampard to coach for a Day.  Vouchers can be posted to the club and marked for the attention of the FITC Office you can leave them at the Commercial Department on St Margarets Drive

Finally we would like to say a big well done to the whole club on what is a fantastic start to the season on all levels.  Hopefully they can keep up the good form and keep pushing the club towards a bigger and brighter future.

Yours in Sport

Mat & Danny
