This summer holiday our soccer camps will have had charter Standard status for two years.

Football in the community has been awarded the Football Association Charter Mark for Holiday Courses. This charter mark gives you the confidence that your child is being cared for by qualified FA coaches, who are insured, trained in First Aid and Child Protection, and have been cleared through the Criminal Records Bereau

 

We have a criteria that all our soccer camps follow

 

Criteria

  1. Staff
    • Qualifications: minimum FA Coaching/Level 2 Certificate.
    • Member of FA Coaches Association
    • Up to Date Emergency Aid Certificate
    • Attended FA 3 hour Child Protection Course: Children-Ensuring Safety in Football
    • Completed FA Personal Disclosure Form
    • Copies of Coaching Qualifications should be kept at Organisation HQ. These may be checked at any time.
  2. Coach/Player Ratio
    • Maximum 16 players to 1 coach. (Ratio may be lower for Under 8s)
    • Minimum two coaches/supervisory staff should be in attendance at all times
  3. Code of Conduct
    • Adhere to the Code of Conduct of the FA Coaches Association
    • Coaches should not be playing in games
  4. Programme
    • Minimum 80% practical football base
    • Small Sided games (recommended minimum of 40% of practical programme)
  5. Equal Opportunities
    • Open Registration
    • Courses to be marketed to, and available for, both boys and girls and to adhere to equal opportunities criteria
    • Operate Equal Opportunities Policy
  6. Facilities, Equipment and Procedures
    • Equipment suitable for age and stage of development of youngsters
    • First Aid equipment on site
    • Access to telephone
    • Appropriate toilet procedure
    • Appropriate secure,enclosed changing
    • Enclosed eating area ( where lunch break is incorporated
    • Supervisor to check facilities/equipment are safe before start of play and after breaks
  7. Registration
    • Telephone number of parent/carer to be provided in case of emergency
    • Coaches made aware of any medical conditions
    • Conditions noted
    • Register maintained for all sessions
    • Coaches check facilities & equipment daily
    • Appropriate de-registration procedure at end of day
  8. Groups
    • Children should be grouped appropriately in terms of age, size and ability
  9. Insurance
    • Public Liability and Personal Accident Insurance to be provided by the Course Organiser to a minimum of £2 million
  10. In-Service Training
    • Keep FA Qualifications up to date
    • Commit to attending In-Service Training as requested by the FA
