It's been a really great month for us at Football in the Community. Our Saturday morning club membership is growing each week and we are hoping for even greater numbers once the warmer weather returns.

We've had a lot of new starters all enjoying the fun so if your at a loose end come along to Holmebrook Valley park and see what you've been missing.

We are now nearing the end of our 'School' and 'After School' programmes sponsored by SRBS. All the schools that have taken part in the programme were really pleased and we only hope that we can do more for them in the future.

Our Childcare at the club went very well this week, with bigger numbers turning up  this week than when we launched the scheme last September.

Both the staff and the children enjoyed the different games and activities and the adults were acting more like kids when the 'Play Station' came out.

Well Done to Hasland Junior School who won our Rail Track Community Cup regional final against Brockwell and went on to Rotherham to represent Chesterfield in the area finals.

Hasland started well with a 1 - 0 win before losing to Barnsley by the same score, then two wins and a draw saw them reach the final against Rotherham which they won by 3 - 0. It was a great day and the lads played some really good football.

On the 11th March we'll all meet again for the Northern Finals at Rotherham on their pitch which will be a four team final.

Good luck Hasland Juniors and well done!
