Posted on: Wed 17 Nov 2004
Chesterfield FC is aiming to give ladies football a big boost during the month of February. There is free coaching for mums and daughters of any age every Saturday morning in February at the Saturday Morning Club organised by Chesterfield's football in the community scheme.
Football in the Community officer Andy Morris said: "We want mums and daughters to come along and give football a go because ladies football is the fastest growing sport in the country."
Andy Morris added: "Everyone will meet new friends, learn new skills, help keep fit and have lots of fun."
The Saturday Morning Club is currently held, rain or shine, at Holmebrook Valley Park, Upper Newbold, Chesterfield from 9.45am to 1.00pm. Normal admission fee is £3.50 but is free for mums and daughters during February. There are changing facilities in the pavilion, as well as, refreshments. All participants get half-price tickets for all Chesterfield FC home games.
Andy Morris can be contacted on (01246) 550930 or 07718 748 432
