Since I last spoke to you last the team from Old Hall School who represented Chesterfield in the Railtrack 6-a-side tournament also represented us at Sporting Chance sponsored by the Yorkshire Post.  Old Hall played as Russia and Hunloke School played as Sweden, Hunloke didn't make it past the group stage but Old Hall made it all the way by winning 2-1 on penalties after a 1-1 draw.

Saturday Morning Club

The numbers have increased over the summer with as many as 91 in late August, hopefully we will retain these numbers when the bad weather comes.

Saturday Morning Club Holmbrook Valley Pavilion £3 10am -1pm every Saturday.

Holiday Club

We have confirmed funding from the New Opportunities Fund to set up a Holiday Club here at Saltergate beginning in October.  There will be spaces for 70 children in the age range 8-14 years.

We are just entering an exciting time for FITC with funding to run after school coaching in Staveley - this will start after the school holidays.We have a car now so we can get around to more schools and we hope to have a van soon.

Holiday Courses

Most of our holiday courses have gone really well only odd ones had low numbers attending but overall it has been a good summer.

As always we are looking for either companies or individuals to sponsor our Saturday Morning Club.  We need more goalposts which cost around £250.00 - if anyone can help please let me  know -
