The 7-a-side competition, for adults over 18 years of age, is to be held on the hallowed turf at Saltergate after the end-of-the-season on Saturday 10 May 2008, starting from 12.30pm.

Entry is limited to sixteen teams, which will play against each other in two mini-leagues of eight for a total of ten minutes each match.  The pitch will be quartered up so there will be four games on the go at any one time.

The top two in each league will play a semi-final, the winners of which will contest the grand final, which is expected to be played at approximately 5.30pm.

This new tournament is being organised by Andy Morris and the new-look Chesterfield FC in the Community Scheme.

There will be an entry charge of £100 per team but admission for spectators will be free.
