Chesterfield FC is inviting local schools to take part in the annual Under 11s mixed (optional) tournament. It will be held at Tupton Hall Sports College on Thursday 27 March 2008 for squads of eight players.   

There are only 21 places available on a first come first served basis so please book as soon as possible by 18 March latest. Letters are being sent out to schools over the next few days. 

All participants must be under the age of 11 years at midnight on 31 August 2008 to be eligible to play.

Last year our local winners, St Mary's Primary School (pictured above), were successful in the regional competition and represented Chesterfield FC in the final at the new Wembley Stadium and ended up as joint winners of the tournament following a 0-0 draw with Brentford.  

This year the grand final will once again be held at Wembley Stadium on Monday 26 May 2008 before the Coca-Cola Football League Two Play-Off Final.
